Dell’Arte’s Pratik Motwani performs as the Opening Ceremony Keynote at KCACTF

Congratulations to Dell’Arte International Resident Artist Pratik Motwani for being invited as the Opening Ceremony Keynote Address by the 2019 Kennedy Center’s American College Theatre Festival and Conference with the performance of his multimedia solo show #//<EMBEDDED>//#

The show performed at the Washington Pavilion Summervold Hall in Sioux Falls, SD for an audience of 1500+ including college theatre students and university theatre professors from the states of Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and guest artists/experts in the field.
Dealing with themes of immigration, internet/gaming addiction and social media identity Embedded fuses together GIFF animation, shadow projection, video projection with live physical theatre to create a unique multimedia theatrical experience that examines our relationship to being human in an alienating/digital world and our sense of self/identity in a digital age, our need for real connection/inclusion coupled with our inability to disconnect from the virtual world and our virtual identities within it.
Pratik was also invited to perform at UC Santa Cruz, CA where #//<EMBEDDED>//#  opened the 25th-anniversary celebration of the Cultural Arts and Diversity Center
