Solo Performance Retreat

Study Abroad: Bali 2025

Theater of the Oppressed Facilitator Training
Teacher: Marc Weinblatt of the Mandala Center for Change
Dates: April 17-20, 2025 | Duration: 4 Days | Cost: $450
This 4-day training will provide an introduction to the world-renowned Theatre of the Oppressed (T.O.), originally developed by Brazilian visionary, August Boal. Though designed specifically to train facilitators of Dell‘Arte’s Prison Arts program, this training will support all participants to use Theatre of the Oppressed (T.O.) with adults and youth in their own grassroots contexts. As the work builds on itself and in order to create a healthy community container, we ask that all participants commit to the full 4-day training in its entirety. Summer Registration
To begin registration for any of our summer programs, complete the short Admission Survey. This includes a couple of statements from you (written or video submission) on your interest as well as related background and experience. Upon review, you’ll be emailed a link to make a payment or deposit and secure your spot. Some partial scholarships for students identifying as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color are available at checkout. NOTE: Early Bird Discounts & Scholarships cannot be combined.

Clown Core

The Clown Core is an exploration into the essential tools used to discover the unique clown that is already inside of each participant. Healthcare Clowning

The Clown’s great capacity for buoyancy and presence through the unknown holds great power off the performance stage as well. In this weeklong intensive, participants with a few years of clown training and experience can investigate how to use those skills for humanitarian purposes in places of healing. [READ MORE]
Physical Theater Intensive

Effort, Risk, Momentum, Joy! this is an engaging three-week investigation into the power of the body in space, the connections of theater to place, and the expressive power of the actor-creator. Explore the skillful, dynamic and easeful use of a performer’s body and voice in both our studios and the local landscape. Tuition Payment & Refund Policy
This policy is in place to ensure our ability to continue offering high quality programs to performers near and far. Registered students faced with the unfortunate need to drop a course for any reason may request a refund of tuition paid.
- If the course in question is six weeks away or more, this request will be granted in full, minus a $25 processing fee.
- Once this deadline has passed, and before the first class begins, any refund granted will only be equal to 25% of the tuition paid.
- Dell’Arte cannot refund any tuition paid after the start of the course.
