Update from Humboldt Can Help- A Fundraiser for Puerto Rico

Over Christmas, the care packages purchased with the funds raised by Humboldt Can Help- A Fundraiser for Puerto Rico were delivered to our partners in Puerto Rico! These include 889 Non-Perishable Food Items, 25 Boxes of Medical Supplies, 161 Boxes of Personal Care Items, 30 Headlamps and Solar LED Lights, 7 Solar Chargers, and 93 Boxes of Household Items!

Mano a Mano PR, a non-profit based out of an arts elementary school visited the municipalities of Yabucoa, Utuado and Guaynabo to distribute the supplies purchased through Humboldt Can Help.
Dell’Arte Alumna Andrea Martinez with the help of her friends and her mother have been collecting and delivering supplies to families and homes in dire need of help. Some of the people you see pictured above are part of the third of the island that is still living without electricity, after more than four months. Supplies such as headlamps, solar LED lights, and solar chargers are especially useful. Andrea makes the point that the money saved on food and medicines can now be used to buy gasoline for electric generators.

Dell’Arte extends a huge thank you to our partners for their commitment, generosity and for being a conduit for us to help all the way from Humboldt.
