We are currently accepting applications for the 2023-24 Professional Training Program (October-June).

We accept applications on a rolling basis up until the program reaches capacity. Read more about the PTP.

      We want to see you move, breathe, speak, create and be yourself! Your audition should contain the following elements:

      • Two contrasting monologues, one in heightened/poetic language (up to 1 min each)
      • A song (up to 1 min)
      • A dynamic movement piece based on an autobiographical theme (1-2 min)
    1. Think of these elements as a provocation to be creative, showcase yourself and have fun. The parts can be linked together, interwoven, or shown in sequence—it's up to you!

Acceptance Notification & Required Documents

When you are accepted to the program, you will receive an official letter from our Admissions Director and an Enrollment Agreement contract to complete and sign.

Upon this acceptance, you will need to also submit official copies of one of the following: undergraduate transcripts, or a high school diploma, or equivalent documentation.

International Students
  • Student Visas
    A Form I-20 will be issued only after the applicant has been accepted for enrollment and has met all standards set forth by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services and The Department of Homeland Security. Dell’Arte does not issue travel documents in order for the applicants to audition. (See Guidelines for Video Auditions above.)
  • Timeline
    The school operates under reduced business hours in August. We encourage early application and audition for all international students and recommend sufficient time allotment for visa processing (6-8 weeks prior to enrollment). Admission to the program can happen no later than July 20.

Covid Policy for Incoming Students

Proof of full vaccination is required (which includes a booster per the CDC) for all students participating in our workshops . If you are not vaccinated please reach out to our School Administrator, Tawny Foskett (, to pursue an exemption. Masking requirements will remain in place in certain instances, both in and outside of classes.

Study Abroad: Bali

Dates: MAY 22 - JUNE 15, 2023

Art serves the community of Bali, its religious practices, its economy and is inseparable from everyday living. This program is designed for those who want to participate in the family and ceremonial life of outstanding Balinese master teachers, during an intensive study month.

For nearly 20 years, Dell'Arte's Balinese faculty have been leading participants through a truly unique experience, authentically exploring Balinese performing arts in their homes and communities. The Dell’Arte Abroad: Bali program is like no other in terms of our long-standing relationship as a teaching collective. It is open to actors, musicians, designers, dancers, mask-makers, directors, teachers, and anyone who is interested in the Balinese culture and performing arts
